There is more to numbers than we might think, and this Illustration shows, to some degree, their depth of meaning. Only the numbers are clearly visible, because, when considering a number, like a birth date, that is all we see. What is less obvious is represented by the hazy images partially visible through various layers of mist. These half-hidden forms represent the energies underlying the numbers, subtle energies and elements occurring within and around us. The forms here represent the 5 living elements which are the creative forces of the universe, and the platonic solids and power animals that reflect the elements at different levels.
Akara Numerology is grounded in ancient yogic tradition. Historically, in India, it has been handed down from Master to student. My teacher, Nam Hari Kaur Khalsa, was taught by Yogi Bhajan, the Master who brought Kundalini yoga to the West, as both are aspects of the same system.
AKARA MEANS “CIRCLE OF LIGHT, CIRCLE OF INFINITY, THAT WHICH CONTAINS EVERYTHING” (Nam Hari Kaur Khalsa).
This system helps us better understand who we are, our strengths and challenges, what we’re here to master, what induces the balance and harmony needed for our highest expression and best possible outcomes.
It also guides our timing. As life takes us through natural phases, there is a time to be active, another to be still and go inward; times for family and friends, others to be creative and innovative; and in honouring these natural rhythms we build the energies needed to progress to the next phase of expansion. Doing or not-doing at the appropriate time leads to more favourable outcomes.
